The Secret of Frog Fishing Revealed at Last.

    My friend laughed at me and told me that I wasted way to much time throwing that stupid Frog. But, then I showed him the picture of all the hog bass I had been catching for the pass six months and he quickly changed his tune.

"You mean to tell me that you caught all those fish on your Frog" my friend said.  "Yep, I sure did and they just love it" I said.  "A lot of these fish look to be close to five pounds or better in fact that one looks well over five pounds".  He said pointing to a particular fish that I had caught early that Spring.  "Boy that's a monster" he said. Noticing the background of the photo my friend saw that there were not yet leaves on the tree which made him curious enough to ask another question.  "That sure looks like it was real early this spring what was the water temperature"?  "well it was probably right around fifty degrees maybe a little colder".

"Your A liar"! he said Bass do not bite top water that early in the spring and they sure do not bite a frog when the water is only 50 degrees.

"Wrong again" I told him, with a grin from ear to ear.  "Sorry to disappoint you but I caught that fish in may under a pontoon you see that red mark on her tale she just got done spawning the day before.  She was resting and saw that frog and thought that a big meal would sure help her replace some energy after dropping all those eggs".  "I do not believe you" he said.  One, post spawn fish are hard to catch thoes big females go sulk in deep water or suspend in the middle of the lake.  And two, they do not bite a frog when the are out in the middle of the lake.

"well actually they do post spawn bass will bite a frog if you know where to throw your frog", I told him.

 "look I will give you one more chance to level with me what did you catch these fish on"?  I just smiled at him and he already knew the answer.  My friend looked over at me and threw his hands up in the air and yelled.
