Three
years ago I was in D and R sports in Kalamazoo. It is the biggest
supply of Bass Tackle on the west side of Michigan. While it was still a
cold winter day I was searching the bass jigs and looking for something
new to try. On The wall I found a new jig. It was called the Pepper
Jig.... it had a different hook and a different look than any other jig I
had seen. That year I caught more fish on Jigs than I ever had before
in my life. The Pepper jig was absolutely the best jig I had ever used. In fact I was sure I had found the ultimate bass jig.
I was so sure of it from the success that I had experienced that I
called pepper jigs and put in a big order for there jigs so I that could
put together a kit to sell on my website. After some consulting about
exactly what I wanted I came with a set of 12 jigs in 2 different
weights and four different colors that I believe can benefit bass
fisherman no matter where they fish. When I got done I had four
colors.... natural craw, gilley, acid rain and global warming... which
included 2 of each color in the 3/8 ounce and 1 of each color in the 5/8
ounce size.It really is the ultimate jig kit every bass fisherman
should have and here is the reason why!
The first and most important thing is your jig hooks fish!
The pepper jig has the very best hook you can get, that hooks fish better than any other hook. The hook is a gamakatsu
wide gap style hook that looks like a scorpion’s tail. The hook has more
gap than any other jig which means you are going to hook and land a lot
more bass. The most important thing in fishing is to hook the fish and
that is exactly what it does. This hook has a 60 horizontal line line
tie that puts your hook point at the right angle when you set the hook and it hooks the fish deep.
The second most important thing with jig is that is snag resistant and doesn’t constantly get hung up all the time.
The pepper jig head design is very compact and has an arrow head type shape. This means that the head goes through cover better than other jig head designs.
The head also has some of the lead weight of the jig placed
strategically in the bait color of the jig. This is to keeps the head
streamlined and smaller when coming thru cover and gives you a compact
design. The weed fiber guard for the jig is made out of a thinner
material that is softer than most other jigs making the weed guard easy
for a fish to chomp down on and expose the hook point during the hook
set. The placement of the weed guard is also closer to the hook point
than most jigs... this means your going to get snagged less than other
jigs.
The third most important thing is that the jig actually appeals to fish and makes them want to bite!
The compact design of
the pepper jig will sit up off the bottom when rigged with a plastic
trailer such as a paca chunk. This leaves the claws of the plastic to
stand up and look like a crayfish in a defensive position. When you crawl this jig along the bottom it really looks like a live creature scooting along the bottom.
Also the skirt color patterns for pepper jigs use special silicone
strands that have different flash and colors built into the skirt . When
the jig gets underwater it looks different and becomes sort of 3-d in
effect, making it look alive. The second color tone in the skirt is
subtle and is called a undertone and it does make the jig look more
alive and catch more bass.
Bottom line if you want to catch more Bass you need to get these pepper jigs !
When I first started my website HogBass.com, the one goal I had above all else was to help people catch more Bass.
The pepper jig is the one lure I know for sure that is going to help
you catch more Bass. Because of this I have taken the time to put
together a custom 12 piece kit that will help you catch more bass every
where you go.
In the kit there are 12 jigs 8 - 3/8 ounce jigs and and 4 -5/8 ounce jigs.
You will get 2 of each color in the 3/8 ounce size and 1 of each color on the 5/8 ounce size.
Plus you will get a free set of rattles to dress your jigs up if you want to have rattles on them.
I really do believe
these are the ultimate Bass jigs and I would be doing you a great
disservice to you if I did not offer them to you. They really are that good.
I do not make recommendations lightly. Order these jigs today and get
ready to set the hook a lot more often on a lot more big bass a lot more often!
